Ro-Nalt Schrauwen (1961, Dordrecht) is Collagist, beeldhouwer en initiatiefnemer van Pakje Kunst.
De Collagist
Mijn collages zijn een associatief gebeuren, een kwantummechanische happening van zijn en niet zijn. Een ontstaansproces van kwalitatieve willekeurigheid, spontaniteit, chaos en irrationaliteit.
Het aantrekkelijke van het maken van collages is de mogelijkheid om verschillende beelden om te zetten tot een nieuwe werkelijkheid. Het vervreemdende karakter van de collage wringt en dwingt mensen om aandachtig naar de collages te kijken om de essentie er uit te halen.
De Beeldhouwer
Mijn sculpturen zijn voornamelijk figuratief. De vloeiende lijnen van het lichaam, de welvingen en plooien, de overgang van het ene lichaamsdeel in de ander heeft mijn fascinatie. Vooral als deze vloeiende lijn een bepaalde deformatie en/of abstractie bevat. Daarnaast is er de vloeiende lijn die ontstaat vanuit En Taille Directe, de spontane abstractie.
De Ruimtelijke Collagist.
Mijn 3D collages geven mij de mogelijkheid de collagist en de beeldhouwer te laten samenkomen. De gelaagdheid van analoge collages van papier en transparanten geeft een nieuwe dimensie aan het beeldhouwerschap.

Ro-Nalt Schrauwen (1961, Dordrecht) is an independent artist from the Netherlands, initiator of Pakje Kunst and was project leader of 'de Zondaars', a collaboration between seven artists from seven different disciplines who were inspired by the Seven Deadly Sins.
The Collagist
In my collages I work both spontaneously and thematically. The special thing about collages for me is the possibility to transform different images into a new reality. The alienating nature of the collage twists and forces people to look closely at the collages to extract the essence.
The Sculptor
My sculptures are mainly figurative. The flowing lines of the body, the curves and folds, the transition from one part of the body to the other fascinates me. Especially if this smooth line contains a certain deformation and/or abstraction.
In addition, there is the flowing line that arises from En Taille Directe, the spontaneous abstraction.
The Spatial Collagist
My 3D collages allow me to bring together the collagist and the sculptor. The layering of analogue collages of paper and transparencies gives a new dimension to sculpting.
